What You'll Do

 

  • Analyze the trends of Key Performance Indicators (KPI), especially relating to financial metrics such as sales, expenditures, and profit margin.
  • Prepare monthly analysis of rate performance, including expense and base information on a year over year, year to date and full year basis. Work with finance staff to identify and correct issues; recommend improvements to current forecasting / budgeting processes.
  • Assist in establishing a template for profit centre revenue, cost of sales, gross margin, discretionary spending through profit (loss) and cost centre cost, base, and rate budgets.
  • Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
  • Guide the cost analysis process by establishing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools.
  • Facilitate Japan HQ internal control enhancement project if/when appropriate.
  • Perform ad hoc analysis for executives as required.

 

What You'll Need

 

  • BA or BS degree required (Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance/Economics).
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, investment banking, or other related fields.
  • Understanding and experience in SOX controls.
  • High proficiency in financial modeling techniques.
  • Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions.
  • Strong analytical and data gathering skills.
  • Working proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English and Japanese language.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Motivated, independent, a self-starter and a versatile team player who possesses a strong sense of urgency in attending to issues in a timely manner and able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Good business acumen.
