On July 19th, 2024, AnyMind Group, including Mr. Siwat Vilassakdanont, Managing Director of Thailand and the Philippines for AnyMind Group, participated as a speaker in the CMO Academy by the Marketing Association of Thailand (MAT). This event brought together top executives from leading Thai companies to share their knowledge and experience.
Mr. Siwat shed light on the topic”: “Why Omnichannel Retail Strategies are Important for Your Business,” the highlight of the event. He shared valuable insights on how integrating multiple retail channels can significantly boost business performance, illustrating his points with AnyMind Group’s success story with a leading Thai brand.
Mr. Siwat began by explaining the benefits of omnichannel retail strategies from both the e-commerce business and consumer perspectives.
From a business perspective: “If you have products available across multiple channels, it opens up greater sales opportunities, leading to increased sales and revenue. However, it’s crucial to have tools or systems that can efficiently manage each sales channel. Additionally, having tools that can collect and manage data-driven insights is essential for better understanding target customer behavior, improving inventory management, and creating more targeted marketing strategies.”
For consumers, Mr. Siwat shared: “Omnichannel retail enhances the shopping experience by providing a seamless journey across multiple channels, offering personalization, convenience, and consistent brand messaging.”
Mr. Siwat brought these ideas to life with a case study of Snake Brand, a brand from The British Dispensary Group. AnyMind Group took on the challenge of expanding this product from Thailand to the Philippines, navigating obstacles like unauthorized resellers and a lack of popular cooling products. Through a structured five-phase project, AnyMind successfully introduced Snake Brand to the Philippines market.
Below is a breakdown of the project phases:
Business Intelligence:Conducting thorough market research and competitor benchmarking.
E-commerce Setup: This is a stage where AnyMind Group utilized AnyShop to establish an online presence on marketplaces such as Shopify, Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop, and used AnyX to manage all these channels and data.
Marketing: Leveraged the AnyTag and AnyDigital platforms to conduct market research and execute marketing activities.
Logistics: Managing importation, warehousing, fulfillment, and last-mile delivery with the AnyLogi platform.
“We conducted comprehensive market research with 300 people,” Mr. Siwat shared. “Uncovering key insights into audience behavior and preferences. We identified significant opportunities for instant cooling products and segmented users based on demographics and lifestyle needs.”
AnyMind’s strategic marketing capabilities helped Snake Brand build a strong social media presence, influencer marketing through AnyTag, and engaging content on top news publishers. Digital marketing campaigns on various ad platforms drove awareness, consideration, and conversion. Live commerce initiatives on Lazada, Shopee, and TikTok Shop also significantly boosted brand presence and sales. AnyMind’s proprietary e-commerce management platform, AnyX, was used to efficiently manage Snake Brand’s sales channels, ensuring success in the Philippines.
Another key point not to be missed is the trends and technologies that are transforming the way products are sold in the e-commerce world. Mr. Siwat shared his thoughts: “As we all know, today, numerous innovations are changing consumer behavior. Therefore, sellers must adapt and keep up with these changes. E-commerce vendors need to use tools or platforms that can connect all sales channels into one integrated platform.”
Mr. Siwat also discussed the latest trends and technologies shaping the future of omnichannel retail. He emphasized the growth of social commerce, noting that “with over 73% of Thailand’s population using social media platforms, the potential in this area continues to rise.” He also highlighted the advantages of e-commerce marketplaces, such as high customer volume, varied payment gateways, and integrated delivery systems.
Comparing the pros and cons of various channels, Mr. Siwat stressed the importance of choosing the right platform based on business goals, audience preferences, and technological capabilities. He outlined a vision for future growth through cross-border collaboration, a unified global business model, and AI utilization to enhance operational efficiency. AnyMind’s BPaaS model and technological capabilities position the company as a leader in the omnichannel retail landscape across Asia.
In addition to his insights, Mr. Siwat shared an inspiring vision for expanding sales across borders and establishing a cohesive global business model. He emphasized the role of AI in boosting operational efficiency, showcasing how technology-driven solutions empower e-commerce brands to enter new markets, craft impactful marketing strategies and achieve notable sales success.
The event concluded with a dynamic Q&A session, where participants from various industries came together to discuss their challenges and opportunities in marketing content management. They delved into platform-specific strategies and shared insights on enhancing audience engagement to drive conversions. AnyMind Group is thrilled to have been part of this knowledge-sharing event.
