In this feature, we sit down with Rig, the ever-confident and magnetic Business Publisher Growth Development Manager from our Philippine office.
Join us as we delve into Rig’s career journey and valuable insights as a leader in AnyMind Group.
1) Please share with us your background before joining AnyMind Group
My introduction really started in advertising and then I transferred to music business and then market research prior to joining AnyMind, but across those industries, I mainly handled account management and business development.
2)What do you do in your job role, and how does it fit into the wider range of AnyMind Group’s business?
I’m Mr. Krabs and I make sure that our customers (which are web and app publishers) are continuously fulfilled with our secret Krabby Patty recipe (Anymanager and ATS solutions) while also making sure that Spongebob and Squidward are properly supported
3) What is an often misunderstood aspect of your job role?
I think a lot of the publisher growth business is not clear across the whole organization because its an adjacent and standalone business, but specifically that we dont focus on direct campaigns but programmatic advertising in general
4) How has your time been at AnyMind so far? What are the things that stand out to you about the company?
So far it has been both exciting and challenging which in a way are extremely related feelings. Publisher growth is an entirely different industry than my previous ones so theres a lot of room for growth both personal and business wise. One thing I like most is that my supervisor allows me to make decisions around the local business which enables me to experiment and move at my own pace.
5) How is it like working as part of your local team and also as part of the wider regional unit? What are the unique quirks or habits of the team?
Both local and regional team culture are extremely vibrant and youthful, I extremely enjoy collaborating with the regional PG leaders during business plans and understanding the things that work for their market and localizing it on mine. Locally, creating my own team culture and shaping my executives to become better leaders motivates me.
6) What are some key traits that you feel people in your role should have, and why?
First and foremost tenacity, being in a growing market you’ll be faced with a lot of challenges, trial and error before you hit it big. So being able to push through and be solutions oriented with the right business acumen and development skills, you’ll be able to cover more ground and grow the business faster.
7) What is one AnyMind platform that you cannot do without, and why? (eg. AnyX)
Ofcourse I’ll rep our platform which is AnyManager! Its extremely intuitive and reliable in consolidating app monetization and performance data for our web and app publishers. So instead of navigating multiple Google platforms, you can analyze your data all on AnyManager.
8) What is that one favourite local food that you would like to introduce to readers?
My Filipino comfort food is Kare-kare, its a curry type dish that my mom used to make me quite often when I was a child. I think it encapsulates the Filipino taste and feel in my opinion.
