Topstarnews partnered with AnyMind to enhance their ad strategy, resulting in significant revenue growth. By leveraging high-performing ad formats and improving operational efficiency, AnyMind’s contribution to Topstarnews’s monthly revenue increased by 240% in just four months.

Publisher Profile

TopStarNews, founded in South Korea, is a leading online media platform specializing in entertainment news, covering K-POP, dramas, movies, variety shows, and global celebrities. Known for its fast and accurate reporting, TopStarNews has captivated a worldwide audience with its high-quality HD photos, videos, and exclusive event coverage. With a strong reputation in the industry, it consistently delivers reliable and engaging content that resonates with entertainment fans across the globe.

The Challenge

The publisher was struggling with the underperformance of their existing ads, which had gradually lost their effectiveness. Additionally, there was growing frustration with the slow responses from their previous advertising partners, which made it difficult to address the challenges quickly.

The Solution

AnyMind proposed the introduction of a variety of high-performing ad formats, including video ads, diverse banner ads, and rewarded ads, all known for their strong user engagement and competitive CPM (Cost Per Mille).

To ensure smooth implementation, AnyMind:

  • Created and provided the rewarded ad unit tags for the publisher, in collaboration with the publisher and AnyMind.
  • Assisted the publisher in integrating the new ad units smoothly into their platform.

The Results

The collaboration resulted in consistent revenue growth month after month by using AnyMind ATS and implementing AnyMind’s suggestion. Comparing AnyMind’s revenue contribution from August to December, the publisher saw a 240% increase. The addition of rewarded ads in December was one of key drivers of this significant growth.

The introduction of rewarded ads delivered impressive outcomes:

  • Higher CPM: The rewarded ads generated a $1.38 CPM, which was 9 times higher than the $0.15 CPM for display ads.
  • Revenue Boost: Despite accounting for just 2% of total impressions, GAM interstitial ads contributed to 10% of the total revenue.

These results highlight the potential of rewarded ads as a high-performing format that can drive substantial revenue growth while utilizing fewer impressions.

Conclusions

The success of this collaboration can be attributed to the following key factors:

  • The expertise of AnyMind suggesting new ad units and successfully onboarding them.
  • Continuous monitoring and proactive actions to improve performance and address issues.
  • Building a strong partnership through quick and efficient communication.

This case highlights how working with a partner like AnyMind enables publishers to adopt and experiment with new ad formats, ensuring sustainable revenue growth in an increasingly competitive environment.
