AnyMind Group helps Japanese celebrity, Becky, to launch her first D2C skincare brand, “NaturaLUNA…”

First product is a naturally-derived squalane oil for parents and children, launching on the official online store from 6 October 2021, 11 am JST

AnyMind Group, an end-to-end commerce enablement platform for brands, influencers and publishers, has today announced that the company has supported Japanese celebrity, Becky, to launch her first original direct-to-consumer skincare brand, “NaturaLUNA…”. The items will be made available on the “NaturaLUNA…” official online store from 11 am JST on 6 October 2021.

Becky has appeared in numerous Japanese television series, variety shows, movies, radio, magazines and commercials, and has around 1.27 million followers on Instagram, 1.95 million followers on Twitter, and 3.28 million followers on her official LINE account (as of 14 September 2021). Apart from designing clothes and creating paintings under her “Becky art” brand, she is now launching her first skincare brand that embodies her own views on beauty.

The first product by NaturaLUNA… is squalane oil, which was developed based on Becky’s own experience of skin problems around moisture retention and dryness. Off-the-shelf products were not able to satisfy her own requirements, and thus Becky’s own NaturaLUNA… Squalane oil contains carefully adjusted ingredients. During the development process, Becky conducted tests on half of her own face using different ratios of squalane oil. The three main characteristics that embody the brand include products that are made with “natural ingredients” that also consider the protection of marine resources, “no additives” so that the products can even be used with children, and “sustainable ingredients” that are made from renewable resources.

By tapping on AnyMind Group’s AnyFactory and AnyShop, Becky was able to be fully involved in the process including choosing the ingredients, packaging design and product manufacturing. Additionally, AnyMind Group provided comprehensive support for planning, design, production and e-commerce store build, leading to the launch of the brand.

Price: ¥2,980 (tax inclusive) / weight: approximately 110g Ingredients: 75% olive-derived squalane oil, 25% sugar-derived squalane oil

●Product features

1. Contains naturally-derived ingredients Simple and natural ingredients are used. For the protection of marine resources, this 100% botanical squalane oil combines two types of plant-based squalane oil, one derived from olive and the other from sugar. It helps to maintain the oil balance (which tends to weaken with age).

It can also be used to prevent dry skin, and supports anti-aging care for the neck, décolleté, hands, feet, heels, elbows, and knees.

2. No additives used No additives, such as synthetic colorants or preservatives, are used in the product. As it can be used daily, unnecessary ingredients have been eliminated in order to create a hypoallergenic and skin-friendly formula. This product can be used safely with babies and people with sensitive skin. *Since babies’ skin is more delicate than that of adults, we recommend that babies use this product in small amounts under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

3. Carefully selected sustainable ingredients The raw material used is Brazilian sugar cane, which is GMO-free (※1) and has high sugar content. (※1 Non-genetically modified) This is because sugar cane is a renewable resource and caters to more environmentally-friendly manufacturing.
