AnyMind Group, a technology company for the business supply chain, has today announced changes to its leadership structure that see new appointments for its operations in South Korea and the Philippines, and shuffling of responsibilities in Thailand and its Creator Growth business unit.
On the leadership appointments, Kosuke Sogo, CEO and co-founder of AnyMind Group, said: “The appointments were targeted to enhance our collective experience and strengthen our focus across our leadership team as we prepare for a new stage of growth. We are now at a key moment of opportunity where the e-commerce and marketing industries continue to develop, and new technologies promise to transform businesses of all sizes. We want to lead this generational transformation and continue to advance a borderless world where anyone can easily do business through the internet.”
AnyMind Group has appointed Tae Woo (Ted) Kim as Country Manager, Korea, AnyMind Group. Kim will lead AnyMind Group’s business and operations in Korea. Kim was most recently Regional Director – Korean Clients, at data, artificial intelligence and technology transformation company, ADA. Prior to ADA, Kim held roles in Google, Microsoft and Twitter. AnyMind Group entered the Korean market in November 2023, and more recently formed a partnership with one of the largest Korea-based creator management companies, Treasure Hunter, providing marketers and businesses access to an immediate pool of influencers and content creators in Korea.
On his appointment, Kim said: “Many Korean brands have successfully built their business globally through cross-border e-commerce and marketing. However, due to market differences in culture and economy across the region, I believe that such companies still need partners who can enable them to optimize their business supply chain. With AnyMind Group’s strength in technology, extensive networks across APAC and breadth of solutions, we will have to quickly make inroads into one of the largest domestic and outbound markets in this region, and open up new opportunities for businesses domestically and internationally. I am super excited to be given this opportunity to develop AnyMind’s business in Korea by providing innovative e-commerce and marketing technology to Korean enterprises, helping boost the local creator economy, and empowering web and app publishers in Korea to accelerate growth.“
In the Philippines, AnyMind Group has appointed Mayi Baviera as Country Manager, Philippines, AnyMind Group. Baviera was most recently Country Director for the Philippines at ADA. Prior to joining ADA, she held leadership roles at Cheil and Digital FCB Manila. Similar to Kim, Baviera will be responsible for AnyMind Group’s business and operations in the Philippines.
On her appointment, Baviera said: “After being a careful observer of AnyMind’s business as an outsider, I have seen its business grow and its rapid expansion. I am elated to be part of AnyMind Group leading its Philippines business and our talented and dedicated young teams. My aim, as always, is to lead AnyMind Philippines to deliver the best customer journeys for our clients’ end-users, as we look to revolutionize the online commerce space in the Philippines.”
Baviera takes on the role from Siwat Vilassakdanont, AnyMind Group’s former Country Manager for the Philippines. Vilassakdanont has been reappointed as Managing Director, Thailand and the Philippines, AnyMind Group, and will be responsible for the company’s business and operations in Thailand and will continue to oversee the Philippines market. Vilassakdanont joined AnyMind Group in March 2019 following the acquisition of Moindy, where he was Managing Partner. Vilassakdanont has a background in investment and entrepreneurship, with Executive Director and Partner roles in Trinity Securities, ARK Investments and Merrill Lynch, and co-founded various startups including WXYX Co Ltd and Dealicious.
On his appointment, Vilassakdanont said: “When I was asked to lead the Philippines market back in July 2019, I felt challenged because I am not a Filipino, know how to speak Tagalog, nor do I have the contact books to bring in existing clients. When I first started our Philippines operations, there were just five staff but over the course of four years, we have grown to a team of more than 100. Although it was a steep learning curve, I learned quickly and adapted fast to the ever-changing digital space. With this new opportunity to oversee the Philippines as well as manage our Thailand business, I believe that I can contribute significantly to the growth of our group and continue the success of both markets. I’m looking to enhance our best practices across multiple markets seamlessly as well as deliver on the potential of e-commerce and marketing in Southeast Asia.”
Punsak Limvatanayingyong, former Country Manager of Thailand for AnyMind Group, has been reappointed as Managing Director, Creator Growth, AnyMind Group. Limvatanayingyong joined AnyMind Group in March 2019 through the acquisition of Moindy. Moindy started off in 2004 monetizing independent music labels and musicians their music through digital platforms. Moindy became the first YouTube multi-channel network in Thailand in 2014 before its acquisition by TV Thunder Public Company Limited in 2017. After AnyMind’s acquisition in 2019, Moindy was merged into AnyMind Group’s Creator Growth business, which provides various offerings to creators, including brand collaborations, content monetization and music distribution across different platforms, growth consultation and strategy, the creation of private-label brands and merchandise for creators, and more.
On his appointment, Limvatanayingyong said: “There are various untapped opportunities in the creator economy for many markets in APAC including Indonesia, Vietnam, Taiwan and many more. I believe that with AnyMind’s technology and willingness to innovate, we can develop new business models and tools that empower creators across the region to take the next step in better connecting with their audience, monetizing their content, and expanding their influence. We’re just at the beginning of what we can do for creators, and I’m looking forward to leading our initiatives in APAC and beyond.”
