AnyMind Group’s FourM partners with Fewcents to provide micropayment services to web publishers in Japan

AnyMind Group, an end-to-end commerce enablement company, has today announced that its Japan-based publisher trading desk subsidiary, FourM, has formed a strategic partnership with Fewcents, a Singapore-based media fintech startup that provides monetization support to online publishers, to enable FourM’s web publishers in Japan to leverage Fewcents technology to implement a micropayment monetization option on their sites.

FourM publishers in Japan can now easily implement Fewcents’ paywall through the Fewcents plugin, which can be used on any Content Management System, including WordPress. In addition, FourM can provide consulting services on optimal placement of the paywall, pricing set up, and more.

On this partnership, Abhishek Dadoo, CEO and co-founder of Fewcents, said: “We are delighted to collaborate with AnyMind and bring our technology to Japanese audiences, making content accessible and affordable.”

Hitoshi Maruyama, Managing Director of Publisher Growth, AnyMind Group, said: “We are excited to partner with Fewcents to offer our clients a new way to monetize their digital content. Fewcents technology is best-in-class for micropayments, allowing our clients to access a new revenue stream.”

Sakal, an Indian daily newspaper, introduced micropayments as a first step in its digitalization strategy. Initially, an in-house solution was developed and implemented, but was unsuccessful – the company then decided to use Fewcents.

As a result, after six months of implementation, the number of paying users doubled and RPM was 114 times higher once a user logged in. Repeat content purchases was also high, with approximately 20% of users purchasing 10 or more content items per month.
