AnyMind Group, a brand enablement platform that provides technology and solutions for influencers, marketers, publishers and business owners, has today announced a collaboration with TBM Corporation and Bioworks Corporation that looks to provide influencers with the ability to plan and manufacture their own products using sustainable materials.
Through this collaboration, AnyMind Group will be able to provide influencers, through the AnyMind D2C for Influencers program, with the option to manufacture products using LIMEX, a material mainly made from limestone, along with PlaX Fiber, a fiber made from polylactic acid (PLA) which is a bio-based material with biodegradable properties, modified with Bioworks’ proprietary technology. The products will also be sold on TBM’s online store “ZAIMA” where visitors can purchase sustainable products.
TBM will also continue to expand its comprehensive support for companies, influencers and creators in developing their brands and products, and contribute to bringing forward a sustainable society.
About LIMEX LIMEX is an inorganic filler-disperse composite material that contains more than 50% inorganic materials such as calcium carbonate. It has been patented in more than 40 countries around the world, and is registered with UNIDO’s (United Nations Industrial Development Organization) Sustainable Technology Promotion Platform. It contributes to the conservation of resources that have a high risk of depletion, such as oil, water and forest resources used in the production of alternative products to plastic and paper.
Features of LIMEX ・Limestone, the main raw material used, is a resource that exists in abundance on earth, with a self-sufficiency rate of 100%. ・Limestone can reduce CO2 emissions by approximately 58% when incinerated in the same volume compared to general plastics. Using limestone as the main raw material for plastic alternatives can reduce the use of petroleum-based plastics and reduce CO2 emissions during incineration. ・The lifecycle assessment (LCA) was used to calculate the environmental impact of a product over its lifecycle, and this information is used in the development of materials.

■ What are polylactic acid (PLA) and PlaX? Polylactic acid (PLA) is a plant-derived material made from corn and sugar cane, and does not contain any oil or other chemical fuel-derived materials. Because it is plant-based, it does not consume oil, which is a valuable resource. It is recognized as carbon neutral, meaning that it does not add CO2 to the atmosphere when burned. After use, it is a biodegradable material that can be decomposed into water and carbon dioxide in a specific environment. On the other hand, it has not been widely used as a textile due to issues with dyeability and heat resistance. Bioworks has succeeded in developing PlaX by adding a proprietary additive to polylactic acid to strengthen it. The PlaX Fiber is a plant-derived material that has the quality of a fiber product and the functionality and environmental friendliness of polylactic acid.
