Transforming Brand Engagement: Acqua Media Unveils AqX Short-Form Video Solution at Google Publisher Day 2025 in Taiwan

AnyMind Group was invited to speak at the Google Publisher Day Event held in Taipei on December 10, 2025. The presentation, titled “Transforming Brand Engagement: The Impact of Short-Form Video Strategy × AqX New Product Launch,” officially introduced ACQUA-Shorts (AqX), AnyMind’s integrated short-form video solution.

A fundamental shift in Asian viewing habits is moving from long-form to vertical short video. This change is driven by evolving audience preferences, including shorter attention spans and a demand for quick, powerful storytelling in vertical formats. Short video formats on various platforms are transforming digital interaction across the region with their lightweight, influencer-driven content.

The explosive growth of YouTube Shorts, with daily views soaring from 30 billion to 70 billion between 2021 and 2023, confirms the format’s mainstream adoption. In Taiwan, this trend is dominant, with 90% of netizens watching short videos, primarily on YouTube Shorts (60%), followed by other Platform A (44%) and other Platform B (30%)[1].

Short video is now the default format for digital engagement, evolving beyond simple UGC (user-generated content) into professional storytelling. This shift is marked by the “Short Drama” trend, which merges cinematic, episodic television-style narrative with the accessibility of social video. Through episodes of just 1–3 minutes that skillfully employ cliffhangers, these dramas drive audiences to binge-watch. The format has matured into a multi-billion dollar industry; by 2024, China’s short-form video reached a market size of ¥50 billion RMB (approximately $6.9 billion USD), doubling its value from the previous year [2]. Its substantial monetization is powered by paid episode micro-payments, seamless product placement, and integrated brand advertising.

AnyMind Group’s Head of Supply Side Management in Greater China, Anson Cheng, has officially launched ACQUA-Shorts (AqX) in Taiwan, an integrated ecosystem solution for the short-video boom. It offers publishers simplified integration to maximize monetization. Powered by the AnyManager Video Player and AI-driven content transformation, AqX helps publishers deliver a more engaging and profitable video experience.

Its core value lies in driving strategic growth by creating new video ad inventory, enhancing user engagement through increased dwell time, and strengthening SEO via multimedia content. Functioning as a central hub, AqX aggregates professional short-drama content from multiple sources and distributes it across the AnyMind Publisher Network on App, CTV, and Web platform.

Conclusion and Outlook

AnyMind Group highlighted at the Google Publisher Day Event that the rise of short-form video is a fundamental shift in how audiences consume content. AqX provides the necessary tools, combining smart technology with deep local insights, to help businesses in Taiwan and beyond confidently navigate this change.By integrating AqX, businesses are positioning themselves at the forefront of the content economy, transforming short-form video into a scalable driver of sustainable growth.
