AnyMind Introduces YouTube Rights Management to Help Creators Manage Content Reuse

For creators, keeping track of these uses manually can be challenging, and opportunities to manage or monetize eligible reuse may go unnoticed.

As part of its continued support for creators, AnyMind Group introduces Rights Management, a solution that gives creators greater visibility and control over how their original content is used on YouTube with the option to Monetize, Block, or Track each identified match.

How Rights Management Works

Rights Management is powered by YouTube Content ID, which creates a digital fingerprint of an original video and continuously identifies matching content uploaded to YouTube.

As a YouTube Certified Partner, AnyMind Group supports creators in managing identified matches and determining the appropriate response based on their content rights and objectives. Depending on the circumstances, the available options include Monetize, Block and Track.

However, creators must fully own the content, and their channels must meet the platform’s monetization requirements under the YouTube Partner Program (YPP).

1. Monetize: Turn content reuse into revenue

When another channel uses a creator’s original content, the creator can leave the video available while claiming eligible advertising revenue generated from it. This allows creators to capture value from existing content reuse while keeping the video accessible to viewers.

2. Block: Prevent unwanted use

When a creator does not want their content distributed through another channel, they can choose to block the matched video. The video will then be made unavailable to viewers, helping creators prevent unwanted distribution of their original work.

3. Track: Monitor content beyond your own channel

When creators want to assess how their content is being used before deciding on an action, they can choose to track a matched video. The videos remain available while its views and performance are monitored, giving creators visibility into the reach their content generates beyond their own channel.

What rights management means for creators

Rights Management gives creators a more efficient way to manage the rights around the content they have already produced. Rather than manually searching YouTube for re-uploads, potential matches are identified through Content ID and reviewed by AnyMind’s team.

This becomes increasingly relevant as creators build larger content libraries. Videos can continue generating views long after their original publication, while solving the pain point of stolen content and unauthorized use.

From there, creators can choose the response that best fits the situation, including earning eligible advertising revenue, preventing unwanted distribution, or monitoring content performance.
