Hi everyone! My name is Wanlapa Siriphatthananunthakun, and I’m pretty sure that’s the longest name in the company 😂 Just call me by my nickname, Mook! My mum gave it to me when I was young, and it basically means ‘pearl’ in Thai.
Another interesting fact about me: I can speak five languages! Thai, English, Japanese, Mandarin, and French. In fact, I majored in Japanese while in university, and spent several years working in a Japanese company. I migrated to Singapore nine years ago with my family. You could say I’m almost all of Asia in one person 😛
I guess I always had big aspirations in mind – even tracing back to my childhood. I wanted to be a doctor then! Obviously, that didn’t turn out to be my destiny, though I still find myself in a position where I can help people, so I’m happy with that! As Regional Head of the Ad Operations team here in AnyMind Group, I play a big role in helping advertisers from all across the region achieve their campaign and overall business goals. This involves a lot of strategic planning and a meticulous approach towards driving and executing across the toolset that we have that is best suited for each business and campaign.
Interestingly, it is difficult for ad tech companies in this region to take a self-serve approach towards programmatic advertising, and the decision by the management team to provide ad optimisation support to our clients is so important to our continued success.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
Of course, this is a fast-paced, technology-driven industry, where advances and improvements come out seemingly every other week. Making sure that we provide our clients with the very best solution stack requires us to always remain updated on the latest advancements. To this end, I make it a priority to work with my team to level up their skills with sharing and training sessions.
It’s not just me though. It’s a team effort, and I want everyone to work together and grow as professionals together. I believe in the phrase, “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” 💪
The topic of the ad ops team is one that’s very dear to me; I have been given the opportunity to lead a wonderful, diverse team across the 10 markets the company is present in. The value of localisation can never be taken for granted, and I’ve learned so much working with each and every one of the team. I would like to take this chance to thank management for the opportunity, and the team for fighting so hard alongside me! 😄
Ohana Means Family
Away from work, my life is about my kids. I have two children, one boy and one girl. They are my treasures, and I do my best to raise them to be happy, smart and emotionally-intelligent. I do tell them a bit about my work, and one day, they actually came to me and said, “Mommy, I saw your YouTube advertisement, I helped you to click in.” 😂
Looking ahead, I am confident that AnyMind Group can grow to be one of the leading AI companies in Asia. When the time comes, I will be very proud to tell my children that their mother is part of this dynamic team that’s helped to drive the company to the top! 😁
