All-Hands Meeting - Q2 2017

Our all-hands in July 2017, read on!

Every quarter, the entire team at AdAsia Holdings comes together for an all-hands meeting. The event serves as a platform for the company’s leaders to discuss the past quarter’s performance and announce future plans, ensuring all staff are aligned with the company’s progress. It is also a chance for staff to catch up with colleagues and friends across AdAsia offices and spend a weekend creating new bonds whilst deepening old ones.

We’re back in Bangkok for this all-hands and the company’s growth was more obvious than ever. From just under 100 staff at the last all-hands in April, the team has now expanded to an incredible 152!

After everyone had flown in, the festivities began with a short tour of the new Thailand office!

With digital advertising in Thailand still showing lots of potential for growth, the new, larger office provides the team with the resources and space to better cater to this burgeoning market.

After many ‘long-time-no-sees’ and ‘nice-to-meet-yous’, it was time to head to the event proper.

The night began with Kosuke Sogo, CEO and co-founder of AdAsia Holdings taking the stage. He reviewed the past quarter’s achievements and updates, with the highlight being the USD$2.23m in revenue generated in June; the highest single-month figure thus far!

Plans to further develop CastingAsia, our influencer marketing platform, were also shared. CastingAsia’s recommendations and reporting will be more accurate and relevant than before!

The focus soon turned to the future. As the company grows, so too will its footprint in the region. New offices in Malaysia and the Philippines are planned for the last quarter of 2017, and that also means that many more people will be joining. The target is 200 in total headcount by the end of this year, and 400 by end-2018. Ambitious goals, but one that everyone is striving to achieve!

Otohiko Kozutsumi, COO and co-founder of AdAsia Holdings then took over to present the awards to top-performing individuals of the past quarter. There was a small change to the award proceedings; the MVP awards used to only go to one person per category (sales and corporate staff), but awards were given to the top three of each category this time.

From the Sales team, 3rd place went to Sasin Soonthornpusit of the Thailand team while Sho Kondo (aka Justin) from the Vietnam team snagged 2nd place. As for 1st place, Lidwina Anjani Putri from the Indonesia team defended her title, winning her second consecutive quarterly MVP award!

Next up, the corporate staff! In 3rd place was Pakkapat Thanaruengworatavi (aka Gee), and 2nd place went to Misaki Sato (aka Amelie)! The top spot, though, went to Sunsanee Alansari (aka Joy), for her great work in managing the Bangkok office affairs, highlighted by the office move!

Last but certainly not least, there was the top Manager award that is given out only twice a year. The winner this time was Tran Thi Mai Trang (aka Trang), of the Vietnam team, for her outstanding work over the first half of 2017:

Congratulations to all the winners!

After the formalities, a buffet dinner beckoned, and after a quick bite, everyone took the opportunity to mingle, make new friends and touch base with old ones. Needless to say, pictures were in abundance:

The company continues to grow at such a quick rate, and employees find themselves talking to someone new almost every other week. The importance of these gatherings cannot be understated; they provide the opportunity for everyone to keep on track and focused on the same big picture goals.

Of course, there’s the fact that it’s just great fun to get to know so many people from such differing backgrounds!

Check back again in October; the group picture is gonna be massive then!
